we are sad to confirm that as of last night, 20 March, immediately after the Prime Minister’s afternoon press conference, we have had to close, until allowed to reopen.
Thank you for the many expressions of support, by email, by telephone calls and from those who dined and booked with us over the last couple of days, for what we were doing in trying to remain open, to give relaxed pleasure, with extra special measures in place to protect customers and our team here alike.
The process of closing down has been a dispiriting one, but all your messages have been uplifting and helped us. We now turn to the future, buoyed up by your support, hopefulness and Spring itself.
The beauty of nature around us and in the garden sails, gaily and unaffected, over the current troubles we all are suffering. We will hope to enjoy it and will ensure through our various social media that we continue to share it with you. Like many of you, we will no doubt reflect hard on the old way of life and on the new one we are all having to experience.
So, returning to the core message from us only a few days ago, let’s not forget it’s Spring, nor the beauty of the wide open spaces around us – and – thank you all for giving us pleasure over the years.
My family, Kenneth and I look forward to the time when we can greet you all again, safe and well.
