Joseph Tong enjoys a busy and varied career as soloist, duo pianist, chamber musician, Festival Director and teacher. He made his Wigmore Hall debut in 1997 as winner of the Maisie Lewis Young Artists Award and has given recitals at the Purcell Room, Steinway Hall, the Chopin Society and other London venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields and Fairfield Halls. Joseph Tong has broadcast for BBC Radio 3, appearing on ‘In Tune’ ahead of his all-Sibelius concert at St John’s, Smith Square last spring. Joseph recently gave a series of recitals in Finland, including at the home of Sibelius, Ainola, on the composer’s Steinway and Camerata Hall in Helsinki.

Joseph Tong was made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) in 2008 and appointed visiting teacher at Wells Cathedral School the same year.  His Sibelius recording project for Quartz continues in 2016, with Vol. 1 drawing widespread critical acclaim following its release last year.
