Katya Lazareva is an acclaimed violist specialising in solo and chamber repertoire. Born in 1985 in Belarus, she is a graduate of the Royal College of Music’s Artist Diploma course in Performance, led by the Professor of violin and viola, Yuri Zhislin. In 2012 she won a scholarship from an Anatole Mines & Anthony Elt Award towards her studies at the Royal College.
Japanese pianist Masachi Nishiyama is increasingly gaining recognition for her work both as soloist and as a collaborative pianist. She has performed at numerous prestigious venues in the UK, Japan and worldwide. One of her more recent projects has been to give over twenty recitals of Bach’s monumental Goldberg Variations in the UK and she has gained special distinction for the performances.
