Everything we use is fresh, of the season
So, when we prepared our changing menus for October, they naturally reflect the best of the ingredients of the beginning of the Autumn season, at their freshest and at the peak of their flavour
Seasonal cooking and eating is a joy; the ingredients and flavours always and effortlessly match the mood of the season and of our feelings as the year turns colder
As Autumn progresses there is a growing wish for richness, warmth and comfort
We have brought to the menus some of these wonderful flavours of Autumn, such as:
pumpkin, wild mushrooms, English Autumn truffles, garden herbs, Autumn root vegetables like salsify, venison
Juniper, apples, pears, blackberry
As we move more deeply into Autumn, you will find our menus and dishes moving naturally with the changing flavours of the season as they become ever richer and as the season moves into Winter
