Isole e Olena Wine Dinner - Thursday 17th September

Thursday 17th September, for 7:00pm for 7:30pm

with

Lorenzo Tonelli – Isole e Olena
Kenneth Culhane – Head Chef
Barny Taylor – Managing Director

Join us for an exceptional evening celebrating one of Tuscany’s most revered estates, Isole e Olena, in partnership with Lorenzo Tonelli, Brand Manager for the estate, who will guide guests through a selection of its most acclaimed wines.

Nestled among the rolling hills of Chianti Classico, Isole e Olena has long been regarded as a benchmark producer, combining deep respect for Tuscan tradition with a commitment to quality and innovation. The estate is particularly renowned for Cepparello, its iconic pure Sangiovese wine, alongside its acclaimed Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and historic Vin Santo.

The evening will begin with a glass of Charles Heidsieck Champagne, setting the tone for a menu carefully created by our kitchen to showcase the character and elegance of each wine. Guests will enjoy a series of seasonal dishes, from Orkney scallop with apricot, chamomile and macadamia, to Delica pumpkin agnolotti with clove and sage beurre noisette, before a main course of roasted Devon duck with juniper-spiced mushrooms and wild blueberry grand veneur sauce. The experience concludes with a traditional treacle tart paired with the estate’s beautifully complex Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2012.

Throughout the evening, guests will be joined by Lorenzo Tonelli.  Representing one of Tuscany’s most celebrated estates, Lorenzo will share the story of Isole e Olena, from its origins in the heart of Chianti Classico to its position today as one of Italy’s benchmark producers. Drawing on his close involvement with the winery and its wines, he will offer insight into the vineyards, vintages and winemaking philosophy behind each pairing.

As part of the EPI Wine & Champagne portfolio—which includes both Isole e Olena and Charles Heidsieck—Lorenzo brings a unique perspective on the heritage, craftsmanship and shared pursuit of excellence that unite these distinguished houses.

An intimate and memorable evening of world-class wine, thoughtful hospitality and seasonal cuisine.

Barny and Ken
