The International Wine and Food Society through its Area Committee for Europe and Africa has presented its 2014 Award of Excellence to The Dysart Petersham, following a dinner for members of the Committee here in June 2014.
In presenting the award the committee members took the opportunity to dine again with us with a tasting menu created by us around wines we selected from the vineyard of Capezzana, a historic Estate in Tuscany going back to Roman times and beyond. For the menu and wines please click here.
The International Society makes this award only when it is especially impressed by a meal and in particular the way the wines and food work together in harmony, bringing out the special qualities of both.
The Society praised the quality of the wines, the dishes and the overall thought and creativity underlying the choices of ingredients, flavours and wine pairings for its dinner with us this year.
We are very pleased they commented that the dinner amply reaffirmed their decision to make the 2014 award to The Dysart Petersham and look forward to welcoming them again in the Summer.
