We love the pieces created with lichen moss, but many media are harnessed imaginatively, with a real sense of connection with nature – and are on display here.
Woodpecker Studios is the name that William and Chloe use for their collaborative artworks, where several skills and techniques are combined to create one piece of artwork. Their works share a passion for experimenting with unusual materials and different media and techniques to create abstract installations and paintings that are vibrant and dynamic. Woodpecker Studios is sponsored by Linda Bird Ltd.
William from the age of ten became fascinated by the world of graffiti art and was mentored by some of the UK’s best known graffiti artists. At that time he participated in numerous festivals and showcases across the country and was the youngest ever “invited artist” to participate fully at an urban art festival.
They had an exciting and successful show locally in July this year.
A wide spectrum of their work is currently on show in the restaurant and in the private dining rooms upstairs. Diners are welcome to ask to be shown the works of art, most of which are also on sale.
